Danis DNA
The last Danis reviewed here was a pleasant experience, so I’m quite hyped by this second tasting. Let’s see if this younger bottling could be another killing sip.
Colour: Old gold, orange lights. Medium irregular tears.
Nose: Fresh citrus scents at first. Orange zest, lemongrass. Young apricot. Hints of tea notes. A tad of resinous shades. Gentle vanilla notes in the background, enhanced by a generous teaspoon of buttery smells.
Palate: Nice citrus notes again. Hints of acidulous grapefruit aromas in the aftertaste. Herbal shades, mainly on parsley and bay leaves. Great heathery notes then. Not the fruitiest kind of armagnac-palate, but it remains well-balanced and not too oaky.
Last Notes: Mint tea, IPA, lemon grass again. Fresh herbal and cereal scents with air. It ends on lemon tart and cinnamon stick.
I miss a bit of depth and complexity here, but I have to admit that I love this Folle Blanche DNA.
My very subjective note: 87+/100
