Grosperrin Fins Bois 1993 46,4%

4.4/5

A BEAUTIFUL MILLESIME

THE WILDERNESS OF THE FINS BOIS

A Fins Bois distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2017.

Color : Orange with gold touch. Heavy and irregular tears

Nose : Hints of licorice and honey. A little freshness with eucalyptus, as for the VT 46. Orange peel and a great vanilla cream. A yummy cognac again ? There is something baked and sweet in it. Caramelized nuts. It is spicy too with some gentle notes of paprika and caraway.

Palate : Entering into an old car with with the smell of old leather, you know, the one on the authentic seats in which you literally sink into. Then stable scents, a bit of hay and sweat. With some air, tinned apricot peach. Here is the licorice again.

Last Notes : Soy sauce and cinnamon at the very end. Truly a great Fins Bois from 1993.

The empty glass is full of orange juice and brown sugar.

My very subjective note : 88+/100
